Set to be unveiled in just a few months, someone from autoweek.nl has managed to take a few pictures of the second-generation Infiniti FX. Virtually unchanged since the introduction, the new redesign doesn’t look like it’ll change the overall dimension. FX55 moniker could indicate it will be powered by a 5.5 liter V8 which will definitely make it one of the fastest SUVs in the market.

Detroit 2008: Volkswagen Passat CC

If you thought Passat needed some sex appeal before you bought one, your dream has come true. Volkswagen finally unveiled its 4-door "coupe" version of Passat dubbed Passat CC. Overall it’s a clear improvement over the sedan: what remains to be seen is if people are ready to accept Volkswagen’s take on four-door coupe.

Detroit 2008: Toyota Venza

Toyota Venza Concept Toyota finally enters the crossover market, squarely targeting Nissan Murano and Ford Edge with its Venza. This will be Toyota’s first vehicle to feature optional 20-inch wheels, but after riding Infiniti FX35, I would strongly recommend opting for the standard 19-inch wheels for your comfort.

This 5-passenger crossover vehicle will even feature a panoramic roof!

Infiniti EX35 receives IIHS Top Safety pick

Infiniti’s new crossover/wagon EX35 received Top Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety in the States. The test focused on the vehicle’s ability to avoid crash as well as front, side and rear impact testing. EX35 performed well by offering "superior overall crash protection", and this is the first Infiniti vehicle to receive the top rating.
