GM analog OnStar going dead
This January 1, 2008, if your GM vehicle was equipped with analog-only OnStar system (accessing Verizon’s old and non-digital network), you will no longer have access to your service as Verizon is shutting off its analog system. Some GM vehicles may be upgraded to digital equipment (to check if your auto is eligible, visit this site). So if your car model is before 2006, make sure you check out the FAQs as the helpful button may not function next time you need emergency services.
