I’m currently on my way back to Montreal from my 5 day trip to good old Toronto. This trip has been eventful for couple of reasons. For example, the hotel I stayed in (which shall remain nameless out of fear of litigation) had water problems for an entire night. By claiming contractual violations, the fee for that night was refunded.
A bigger, perhaps more eventful, event happened on Boxing Day. For the first time in my life, I’ve decided to go shopping on the biggest shopping day of the year and what a huge mistake that was…
I went to the Eaton centre, closest shopping destination from the hotel, and it felt like coming to a busy bazar in a Third World country. It was literally filled with people who were being carried around the mall by the continously oscillating wave of masses. I thought of picking up a new winter jacket but I became behemontly reluctant after catching sight of mall security carrying guns and sporting bulletproof vests. I thought no discount was worth getting trampled over by hysterical teenage girls who needed to buy a pink top at serious discount.
Coming up: shooting on that day
