Sony’s flagship console finally saw many of AAA titles released for its system. With a new, lower entry point, PS3 has seen a popularity surge especially after winning the fight against HD-DVD and becoming the defacto high definition media format.

Best PS3 Game of 2008: Grand Theft Auto IV
The world of Grand Theft Auto has received a much needed next-gen face lift and gave us a vast city modeled after New York, and the tale of Niko, an Eastern European immigrant trying to make ends meet in the Land of Opportunity. The game also upgrades the combat system, shooting mechanics, cover, well-integrated multiplayer game types, and even cell phones.
