If the Industry Minister Jim Prentice is to be believed, Bell and Telus are planning to charge for each incoming text message unless you subscribe to a package product. The Industry Minister has sent to both companies a letter asking them to meet in Ottawa before August 8th in order to explain their decision.

According to Bell, the new fee for incoming messages will start on August 8th and Telus will start charging starting August 24th.

Bell Mobility is the first carrier in North America to release a white version of HTC Touch. It doesn’t sound too different from the previous version, as this is just a cosmetic upgrade. It can be yours for just $399.95 without contract, or $99.95 with a 3 year contract.

Bell Mobility is now the only carrier in Canada to offer unlimited data. For $75 a month, your PC data card can enjoy unlimited data. This is a much better deal than before since you only had 1GB for a whopping $100 monthly. I hope other carriers in Canada (are you listening Rogers?) will finally offer unlimited data package.
