Samsung’s new flagship will be called Soul, part of its Ultra Editions. Soul is a quad-band GSM slider with 7.2Mbps HSDPA for some 3G action, 2.2 inch display, 5 megapixel camera with Power LED flash, face detection and image stabilization, FM radio, microSD slot, Bluetooth in a 12.9 mm thin package.
Another innovation over previous models is Magic Touch interface which replaces the traditional d-pad with a touchscreen that adapts to what you are doing on the phone. For example, if you’re in the music player, it will show music controls. This phone is set to hit the European retail shelves in April this year.

Another eagerly awaited Samsung phone is hitting the European shores this November thanks to Vodaphone. F700, dubbed the iPhone fighter, features touchscreen as well as slideout QWERTY keyboard remedying iPhone’s biggest complaint. Other areas where F700 is superior to iPhone (at least on specs) are inclusion of 3G capability, higher resolution camera, more media formats supported, MMS, and expandable storage.
Unfortunately it is a triband phone, so people of North America need to wait a bit more in order to get this phone…

LG has Prada, and it looks like Samsung will have its own high-end couture house. SGH-P520 touchscreen phone is rumored to be dubbed Samsung Armani phone. Set to retail at 400 euro, it features a 3 megapixel camera, touchscreen, GSM triband radio and Bluetooth in a very compact form (measuring only 88×54x9 mm) whereas LG Prada phone measures 99×54x12 mm.
Whether you like it or not, Apple’s iPhone has revealed there is a market for a phone featuring touchscreen as its main control scheme. Samsung’s entry into this budding form factor is P520: here’s a preview video showing how the interface would be controled. Overall, it’s nothing amazing as it is mostly what we’ve seen so far in the Apple iPhone, HTC Touch and Prada phone. however the hardware looks like it’s the nicest of them all…

5 megapixel is the new 3.2 megapixel when it comes to cameraphones: Nokia already has a slider out, Sony Ericsson is releasing its candybar effort, and now Samsung is rumored to release its slider effort SGH-G800. It’s even supposed to contain a 3x optical zoom, a must if you want to take advantage of all those megapixels.

Overall the new phone seems sleek which means you’ll finally be able to appreciate 5 megapixel picture in a fairly compact package. What remains to be seen is the picture quality as pictures taken by Samsung cameraphones have slightly inferior quality compared to similar shots with Nokia or Sony Ericsson.

Ever the archnemesis of LG, Samsung is set to unveil its touch-screen-only mobile device SGH-P520. Looking very similar to the Prada, it does at least have one extra feature: wi-fi.
Specs:
- Triband GSM with EDGE
- measures 88×54x8.9 mm
- weighs 102 grams
- QVGA touchscreen, 262k colors
- 3MPx camera with QCIF video recording
- 50MB internal memory
- microSD support
- stereo Bluetooth
- WiFi with UMA
- Document viewer
- 960mAh battery with estimated 220 hours standby and 3 hours talktime
To some BlackBerry software is a requirement in mobile handset purchase decisions, and Samsung is finally going to give customers a new mobile format, so now you don’t have to choose between slim candybar and fat candybar! Samsung T729 (dubbed Samsung Blast by T-Mobile) is a slider phone with a SureType keyboard just like the Pearl, and BlackBerry Connect software. Rest of the spec seems fairly low-end such as just a 1.3 megapixel camera.
(also pictured here is the Samsung T429 with absolutely no interesting or remarkable feature)
