Palm’s latest device is more like the iPhone than the Treo. Opting for a touchscreen, with slide-out QWERTY keyboard, Palm has finally created a lust-worthy device, at least on specs.
Pre will feature 3.1 inch touchscreen, with a rollerball and “gesture” oriented lower part. Internal specs include wi-fi, EV-DO Rev A, Bluetooth, GPS and 8GB built-in storage. You will be able to take pictures and videos with the 3 megapixel camera. Truly innovative is the use of the wireless battery charger, first for a mainstream device. Pre will be available first on Sprint.
Sprint announced its iPhone-killer Samsung Instinct. Featuring 3.1 inch touchscreen, it bests Apple’s iPhone in several areas including EV-DO Rev A, GPS, haptic feedback, customizable home screen, expandable memory and even GPS navigation.

As expected, Sprint (together with Nextel) has launched its own $99/month all-you-can-eat plan. Outdoing AT&T and Verizon’s voice-only plan, and even T-Mobile’s voice and text plan, Sprint’s plan includes voice, data, text, TV and GPS, basically every service Sprint offers… It even has Nextel’s push-to-talk service!
Whether this is a desperate attempt by a dying carrier or not, competitors better sweeten their deals.

Sprint unveiled its all-you-can-eat unlimited plan. At $119 a month, you get unlimited voice calling, SMS, internet browsing, e-mail and picture mail. Unfortunately it is not available for smartphones and BlackBerry devices (which require you a separate Power Vision pack, or BlackBerry data plan).
Curiously enough, this plan isn’t available online so you’ll need to visit a local retailer, or call up 1-800-569-1077
