    Best Movie of 2007: Ratatouille

Disney was wise to pick up Pixar, with its envious ability to churn out hits after hits. Their latest movie Ratatouille is among their best movies ever made, and that’s saying a lot since the premise puts rats in kitchens. Rats in kitchens are frowned upon (just look at this repulsive YouTube video) but Pixar made the main character cute, adorable and most important of it all, identifiable. The story features a bumbling chef who finds his big break by befriending a rat that has extraordinary culinary skills. If you haven’t seen this movie, the animation itself is worth spending your hard-earned cash on. Everything else, such as engrossing characters, fun storyline and humor are just extras.

    Worst Movie of 2007: Norbit

Most people believe this movie sank Eddie Murphy’s chance to win the Oscar thanks to his great performance in Dreamgirls… of course by starring in this “comedy” that didn’t have any laughs and should be studied as a prime example of all the wrong stereotypes in America, most voters realized Eddie Murphy cannot be in good conscience be awarded the highest honor for cinematic performance. He should really get rid of that fat suit, and for once let his comedic genius shine through without any gimmicks.
