According to a survey by ECA International, these are the top 10 expensive cities to live in (taking into account everything from food prices, housing to strength of local currency). The biggest surprise is Tokyo (Japan) is not on the top 10 list thanks to the strength of yen… Another surprise omission from the list is New York City which is often cited as an incredibly expensive city to live in.
